Archery (Great fun now I know how Robin Hood felt)

Archery, what a fun sport, although I think I'm getting gradually worse as the weeks go by. Maybe it's because they keep moving the targets back. As a beginner you start with a 18 pound bow, (by 18 pound I mean the string strength not the price) after a few months when you have an idea of what you’re doing you may want to get your own bow. A 30 pound bow is what you will want unless your super strong.

There is more to this sport than meets the eye. A lot of it is easy enough to learn and within a few weeks everyone is pretty much hitting somewhere on the target, to keep hitting that bulls eye though it all comes down to the posture. They even give you a sight on the thing but if your elbow's not bent in the correct

way or you let go of the string wrong, your arrows going end up missing the gold and sometimes the reds or completely missing the target. If you're bad enough to miss the target completely then you should be prepared for a long walk to retrieve it. Overall so far I’m really enjoying archery.
